All I have to do is have stupid, incomprehensible dreams

Last night's stupid incomprehensible dream involved Ludic Kid Friends List superstar calamityjon. It seems that in this sector of Dreamland, Jon went to APE and, during some panel discussion or another, made an obviously facetious joke about how black people don't read comic books. It turned into the proverbial hailstorm of controversy (pronounced "con-TRAH-ver-see" by a BBC reporter on the scene -- yes, the BBC cover the U.S. indie comics scene in Dreamland), which really freaked out our man Jon for a while until he realized that it meant lots and lots of $ale$!

I need to drink more, obviously.

Stupefyingly, incredibly, EVEN MORE WHORIN'!!!

The long-awaited third issue of the High Hat is finally up! It features a number of bits and bobs by me, including my Top Ten for 2003, an article on artists you hate to love, a review of the new book by Charlie Daniels, and a blow-by-blow account of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

There's also a lot of really excellent writing about entertainment and culture. A print edition of the first year of the High Hat is coming soon, so check it out while it's free, won't you, please? There's some mighty fine stuff in there, I guarantee it.
