In dreams I kill with you

Last night, I had some exceptionally bizarre dreams, no doubt aided by the presence of a rambunctious Kirby in my room. The one I remember most is a wholesale rewrite of Kill Bill Vol. 2. This version featured much, much more killing and a whole lot more action scenes (including a great weapons duel between the Bride -- armed with her Hanzo sword -- and a previously unseen DVAS member with rotating rings, and an amazing gun battle with, for some reason, the Bride's parents). Oh, how I wish you all could have seen it.

And, of course, like all my really interesting cinematic dreams, it didn't involve me in any way.

More, more, more to whore

If anyone is interested, I am the guest on a radio show this morning (10:00AM CST) called "Under Surveillance". The show is about pop culture and its influence on politics, and I'll be talking with the host in particular about war movies and how they've changed over the years.

People in Chicago can listen on WLUW (88.7 FM), and those elsewhere can tune in by going to their website (http://www.wluw.org) and clicking on the "Listen Now" icon. A good time for all and sundry.

Also, do read the Ludic Log today if you have the opportunity. Despite my constant self-whoring I'm not usually inclined toward horn-tooting, but I think this one's pretty decent.
