Oh, so you thought I'd quit, huh? Nah. Nah.

This one's especially for my gal ninafarina, but anyone can play.

Bah

Aaaaand there's a typo in that poll, and I can't fix it. Ah well. That's the end of that, and I promise to return to my normal, non-musical-revue-based posts starting now.

Alas, I have little grist for my mill at the moment, since all the dead Pope news has eclipsed the rest of the political chicanery I thrive on, and Jimmy Lileks has finally agreed with everyone else on the planet that he should take a long vacation from the internet, so I have precious little to discuss these days. Work is busy but boring, and all my nights of late have been crammed with apartment-hunting and writing, so it's not like I have anything exciting to report. The NCAA tournament interests me not at all, and while I am happy as hell that my baseball team won their Opening Day game in a nail-biting pitcher's duel, I am cognizant that no one else in the world cares about my team.

So, what else do I got? iTunes fun...of limited interest; rereading the old Keith Giffen "Justice League" comics, a David Crystal book on the development and divergence of the English language, and a novel by John Dos Passos...of slightly less but still extremely limited interest; working on some freelance stuff and some collaborative projects and finally, again, my crappy novel...of no interest until actually completed.

You know what? I got nothin'. Go read someone's journal who's actually got something going on. Has Hitler got one? Because I bet his would be a pretty good read. Let's find out: hitler.

EDIT: Nuts, that one's been suspended. Let's try this: adolfhitler.

EDIT: Man, no luck. adolf_hitler? stalin? pol_pot? mussolini? bueller?

Man, this place is no fun at all.

Damn it, I will just not let this die

So, no hitler, adolfhitler, or adolf_hitler. How about ahitler? adolfh? mrhitler? herrhitler? hitleradolf? thehitlernator? dolphietheh? derfuhrer? uncleadolf? georgewbush?

HA HA OH MAN POLITICAL SATIRE!

Not found: "adolf_schicklegruber", "theycallmeMISTERhitler", "historysgreatestmonster". All those journals appear to be inactive except ahitler, mrhitler, herrhitler, derfuhrer, and georgewbush, who hasn't updated in two years, the lazy fucker.

Also, ahitler's latest entry is surprisingly un-Hitlerian: "OK... starting tomorrow i am changing my life. for starters i will start and excercise and diet plan. i will do some sort of cardio excercise for 20 mins everyday, eat less fatty foods, and vow to lost my round stomach. I hope to have a 6 pack by my 22nd birthday. I will update my progress here everyday. academically, i will set goals everyday and accomplish them. if they arent accomplished that day, they will be first on the next day's list. no more serious procrastination (starting tomorrow). I will also read more and prepare myself for the GRE."

Good luck with that, HITLER!!!
