- Seething over the fact that I droped $1300 on dental work
- Trying not to think about the fact that it was Valentine's Day
- Getting drunk

HOW I AM GOING TO COMPENSATE FOR MY TRAGIC LOSS

- See if the magical power of the internet can show me Lost
- Ask my co-workers and friends if anything good happened on American Idol
- Be hung over
- Think about how there's only three shows on TV that I ever actually watch and I can't ever remember when they're on
- Consider the possibility that even though I got loaded by myself on a Wednesday night, I probably wasn't as drunk as Paula Abdul was

Today's Ludic Log: I have been waiting my entire adult life to make this announcement.

1. If you haven't already, please do take a look at the new issue #8 of the High Hat. I think it may be our best issue yet, and I'm quite proud of it; it's chock full of fascinating articles on a wide variety of subjects sure to interest one and all, and with a three-day weekend coming up, what better way to spend your precious time than reading an on-line magazine of arts and cultural criticism? THERE IS NONE BETTER WAY AND YOU KNOW IT. Give it an eye, I implore you.

2. I was thinking about participating in that meme where people ask you to take pictures of things from your daily life, but then I remembered: (a) I live in San Antonio and nothing in my daily life is worth looking at and (b) since the TSA stole my camera over New Year's, the only one I have left is the one in my phone, which means it would be more like the "take pictures of things from your daily life if you were a low-res security camera guarding a boring parking lot after a neutron bomb explosion" meme. Sorry, folks.

3. But here's something you can do! If you're one of the two people who actually read the Ludic Log, you know by now that I am running for President of the United States in 2008. And this is my very first interactive press conference!
