Because I apparently have nothing better to do, I have created a new blog called Draining the Glass. Its purpose is basically to chronicle my slow and painful descent into alcoholism, but it's also going to provide booze news, drunken narratives, and best of all, drinks recipes and reviews. There's already a few representative posts up, so go take a look.

monday poll disease strikes dozens

By the way, how is it that there is no James Bond fandom? For such a popular character with such a rich history and so many novels and movies, James Bond doesn't seem to have developed a fandom the way that Star Wars, Star Trek, etc. have. And that's despite more movies and a proven moneymaking potential. Why is that? Is it because of the lack of obvious fantasy/sci-fi elements? Or is there, in fact, a large and robust James Bond fandom that I'm simply unaware of? Anyway.
