Not Since Superman Died

Jacques Derrida is gone. A lot of people from every possible point on the spectrum hated him and he became a symbol for thoughts, philosophies and ideas that had very little to do with him. But he was funny and cutting and restless and questioning and very possibly one of the smartest men in the world. He meant a tremendous lot to me as a thinker as an influence and I'll miss him. His work has been a huge influence on me.

I never thought much of Christopher Reeve as actor, but he played Superman, and that means something too.

So long, fellas.
