Anyway, no Ludic Log entry today. I was too exhausted and in way too shitty a mood to do an update last night when I got home from my 14-hour shift. I'll do two of them tonight, though.
Right before I went to bed last night, I ran this iTunes script I picked up that's supposed to mine the internet for cover art to all the CDs in your playlist and assign them appropriately. Although it's quite slow (I ran it overnight and it only got through the Bs), it's fun and pretty useful, since I'm way too lazy, or not nearly geeky enough if you prefer, to do that myself. But the especially fun thing is, it tries to find artwork for every single CD you have in iTunes, even if it can't find, you know, the correct artwork. So a handful of my albums now have "cover art" assigned to them that is funny (a Toby Keith album cover for an Antietam CD), inexplicable (the cover of the book "The Autobiography of Malcolm X" for an Atmosphere CD), or kinda freaky (the cover of a Holy Q'uran for a disc of Arab music, which is sure to get me a notation on my FBI file). The worst of it is that it seems to assign a default cover to anything it just can't find at all, and, having somehow read my mind and discovered what I hate the very most, it chose, as the default can't-find-it CD cover:
the Charlie's Angels OST.
