Normally, I grace the other drunks at my office with a “Drink of the Week”. Last week, though, I was too busy, and I forgot, so I’ll have to play catch-up. What should be this week’s Drink of the Week?

Why is there no option for those of us who are night owls AND early birds, that is, don't really need to sleep much?

I can - and on occassion do - sleep almost anywhere. You may be jealous of this. My bosses, in general, have not found it so desirable.

when I selected "environmental factors" I meant "mosquitoes in my room who terrorize me in my sleep". I'm curious, though, what other environmental factors affect people in their sleep?

Noise/heat/cold/dryness/humidity/etc. is my guess. All of those things keep me awake!

I chose that option but now I can't quite remember why. Perhaps I was thinking of the slight yet persistent noise that the bearings in the ceiling fan sometimes make that are akin to nails on a chalkboard. Or maybe the occasional police choppers going by, searching for criminals.

Noise. Any kind at all. It is the bane of my sleep fairy.

I can't manage to sleep more than 8 hours anymore. It's even worse when I've been drinking, which, honestly, is most of the time. When I tie one on really good though, I always wake up after about 5 hours, with a tattoo of the flag of Panama. The first few times I just thought it was a weird coincidence, but I'm starting to worry because I'm running out of places to get a flag tattooed.

Sleep is actually awesome, but I had to go for the Sleepytime Gorilla Museum lyric...

The main reason I couldn't sleep for the first six months of this year was what the cool kids these days call "restless leg syndrome," or what Kramer described as "the jimmy legs, man!"

Then I found out I had anemia and fixed that and that fixed the jimmy legs for the most part, although I had a nightmarish case of it this weekend on my flight home from Toronto. It also fixed my habit of craving ice -- but that, I kind of miss.

Oh god, what did you do on the plane to get rid of it? How awful.
