THIS BLOG HATES YOU

You see that header up there? That header art, of the phone poles? It's a fine header. I got nothin' against it, or against Tiffany Chew. I'm just asking, let's say I wanted to change that header. To something else.

How might I go about that, if such a thing were possible?

You'd have to change to another layout.

But, see, I like this layout. I want most everything about this layout except I want to change that header image.

That's kind of the problem with the S2 version of LJ layouts: you get a lot more variety in the way you can lay out the LJ but have a lack of choice in customizing it.

Do you see an option to change header texture or header picture on this page? If not, there's a way to actually get into the guts of the HTML of your journal, but it'd take me a little while to remember what it is. Let me know if this doesn't help you out.

There is no such option as you indicate.

Bad news: then you're going to have to screw around with this stuff and then this stuff. Looking at these tutorials will probably help.

I kind of like the picture---it's like Hitchcock in Baltimore.

Go to Journal>Customize Journal. You want any style that is called "Expressive." There are many, many versions of "Expressive" with different headers.

If you want your OWN header, that is more complicated.

I'm sorry I can't help with this, but you reminded me that I wanted to comment the other day that I liked your new layout.

I hope you figure out how to do this because then I will ask you to explain it to me.
