Mighty cola, indeed

How is it that I can buy 15 flavors of Pocky direct from Japan at the click of a button, but I can only find two of my Wish List Of Foreign Sody Pops on eBay, and then I'd have to pay like forty bucks for one lousy six-pack?

Stupid vagaries of global capitalism.

No one in this country drinks Spezi. It's a crying shame that only Germans can know the glory of orangeade mixed with Pepsi.

Spezi is in fact one of the ones on my wishlist.

I got hooked when I lived in Bavaria. I miss it!

So if I poured a can of Sunkist orange soda into a Pepsi, would that work? What if it was a Jones Soda?

Shipping; it's too heavy.

See, that's what they tell you. But when I lived in Chicago, I could walk from my apartment to my office and see not one, not two, but three manhole covers that were manufactured in India. Now, you could explain to me using "economics" how it's cost-efficient to ship a circular, 200-pound slab of iron almost eight thousand miles to the middle of a steel-refining region, but not cost-efficient to ship a six-pack of Pakola to my doorstep. But I wouldn't believe you.

Maybe you can find someone willing to fill a freighter with 200-pound slabs of soda.

"Do you have Coke... in a glass harmonica?"

Man, if I could find someone willing to fill a freighter with 200-pound slabs of soda, my life would pretty much be complete.

I'm pretty sure it's a combination of "little too heavy" and "little too thin metal cans filled with a pressurized beverage." One of those cases takes a header in transit and all you're getting is a sticky, fruity-scented pile of soggy cardboard and crumpled dreams.

At least, that'd be my guess.

luckily for me, my favorite is Mexican Coke
B/c the sodas you like aren't trendy enough?

Maybe a stupid suggestion you've already thought of, but: have you tried World Market? Or if the sodas happen to be Asian (well, like Japanese or Chinese Asian) or Middle Eastern, checking out the Asian and Middle Eastern markets in SA? Like I said, you've prob already thought of these things, but I figured I'd mention anyway.

I dream of finding a hidden cache of Josta.

See, if you had say, a Wishlist of Foreign Narcotics, or a Wishlist of Foreign WMDs, you'd be pretty satisfied.

It's all about goal setting.
